About Adrienne Osmun, M.S.Ed.
Well before founding Optimal Development Solutions LLC in 2019, Adrienne started her career facilitating employment workshops and resources for transitioning military members. Shortly thereafter, she became a training manager at the national headquarters of a large, longstanding Chicago-based corporation. In this fast-paced competitive environment, she quickly became a dynamic facilitator, astute training developer, and trusted employee education specialist. Her quality program management and systematic approach to improving performance prepared her to play a key role in workforce and strategic technology development projects culminating in her being hand selected to architect and deliver a workforce learning strategy for over 5,000 IT employees. She also completed her Master of Science in Education during this time with a focus on adult learning and barriers to self-directed learning and performance.
“developing individually customized training, tools, and solutions”
Further informing her expertise in learning and performance, Adrienne worked closely with learners exhibiting Executive Function deficits. Struggling with identifying, organizing, prioritizing, and executing tasks, these highly intelligent, skilled, and capable individuals were consistently underperforming. Adrienne began consulting and developing individually customized training, tools, and solutions to overcome the challenges and optimize each client’s performance. Concurrently, she collaborated with learning process experts and provided expertise to educators and advocates constructively shifting the lens for instruction and support.
The common thread of methodically identifying objectives and challenges, then utilizing learning and performance expertise to facilitate results, has consistently been part of Adrienne’s approach at both the organizational and individual levels. After moving to Central New York, she established Optimal Development Solutions LLC to offer services infused with her ability to keep targets in focus and projects on task. Contracting with a non-profit veteran service organization, she demonstrated her commitment to each employee learner, her detailed understanding of the organizational characteristics and services, and her analytical approach to identifying the right short-term solutions to meet the long-term goals. This was further aided by her learning process knowledge and recognizing potential impacts for those veterans or active-duty military who have experienced trauma or injury, potentially impeding executive function and performance. Through a myriad of projects including process improvement; employee, program, funding, and organizational development; and a complete overhaul and customization of the Salesforce CRM platform, Adrienne partnered with executives to lead these project implementations and fostered strategic alignment to keep this rapidly growing organization on track.
Today, Adrienne’s business is a NYS certified WBE and she continues to share her vast array of project and learning experience with both individuals and organizations. Her unique expertise can assist in identifying barriers that may be going undetected, but are consistently impacting deliverables and outcomes. Coupled with her demonstrated ability to determine and implement practical solutions, she pulls the thread from discovery to successful implementation.
